Bowling for Soup maintain winter roadwork behind 'Partyin''
Texas punk-pop outfit Bowling for Soup has mapped out a month-long winter outing through the South and Midwest as the group continues to support its recent release, "Sorry for Partyin'."
The in-progress road trip, which kicked off Dec. 1 in Spartanburg, SC, continues Thursday (12/17) in Wichita, KS. The Texas foursome's trek touches down at clubs and theaters in nine cities before the tour end Jan. 19 in Covington, KY. The full schedule is outlined to the right.
Bowling for Soup released "Sorry for Partyin'," the group's seventh studio effort, in October. The 14-track set, which follows 2006's "The Great Burrito Extortion Case," features special guests Linus of Hollywood and Tony Scalzo (Fastball), among others.
Several tracks from the latest album are currently streaming at the band's MySpace page.
"Most of our lyrics come from something that happened to us, to one of our friends," frontman Jaret Reddick explained in a recent interview with Ireland's State magazine. "Bowling for Soup basically go out, do stupid things, and write about it."
In 2003, the group received a Grammy nomination for the radio favorite single, "Girl All the Bad Guys Want."
